Police searching for armed robbers who shot two men

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Police continue to look for two armed robbers who robbed and shot at two men, sending both to the hospital.

Yuma police say the armed robbery and homicide attempt happened Friday night at around 8:30.

The victims told police two robbers approached them from behind, demanded their money and wallets, shot at them, and took off running. 

It happened in the 600 block of West Second Street.

Both victims were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for minor gunshot wounds.

The armed robbery is still under investigation.

The victims described the armed robbers as both being around 20-25 years old. Both were wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans.

The robber who shot at them had a dark colored hat and had a thin goatee.

Both robbers fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
