Car chase on I-8 leaves one dead after smuggler flees from Border Patrol

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KSWT News 13) - A car chase involving Border Patrol and a suspected smuggler leaves one man dead and three men seriously injured.

It happened yesterday at aruond 6 p.m. on Interstate 8 near El Centro.

California Highway Patrol say agents were trying to pull over a car, but the driver sped away and rolled over.

One passenger died after being thrown out of the car.

The single vehicle roll over is under investigation.
