YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Yuma firefighters say a house went up in flames this morning after a resident who had been smoking in a bedroom failed to put out their cigarette.

Firefighters say the residents had already left the house when the fire started.

The Yuma Fire Department warns that most deadly fires are started by someone falling asleep while smoking.
