Crews take "Top of the Kress" sign down to make way for new sign

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - You may notice something different about a historic building in downtown Yuma: There's no longer a sign for the Top of the Kress.

Crews were working to take the Top of the Kress sign down this morning.

It's one of many steps to get the building back up and running under its new ownership, the Underhill Transfer Company, who purchased the building last year.

When the new sign is finally up, the there-level building will be called The Kress.

It is scheduled to open sometime this spring.
