Man arrested for robbing elderly man after knocking him unconscoius

BLYTHE, Calif. (KSWT News 13) - Blythe police are investigating a robbery that left an elderly man unconscious outside of a local business.

Police say 18-year-old J'son McNeil assaulted a 67-year-old man outside of a business and stole money from his pocket after knocking him to the ground.

It happened Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m.

Police say a witness reported seeing McNeil assault and rob a 67-year-old man, who was found lying on the floor with face injuries.

The elderly man had to be airlifted to a hospital in Coachella Valley.

Police arrested McNeil and he is being charged for robbery and elder abuse.
