Interstate 8 lanes closed between Winterhaven and El Centro

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Major road construction is underway on Interstate 8, from Winterhaven to El Centro.

Starting today, I-8 is down to one lane heading eastbound and westbound.

Construction crews will be paving the road from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Detour signs will direct traffic to temporary ramp closures until the construction is completed on March 23.

California Highway Patrol will direct traffic through the construction zones.
