YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - A woman is dead after losing control of her car and rolling into Mittry Lake.

It happened yesterday at around 7:00 p.m.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Maria Celina Rubio-Morales was driving westbound on Mittry Lake Road when she lost control of her Nissan Altima.

Her car then slid sideways off the road and rolled into the lake.

Rubio-Morales was trapped inside of her car until a passerby pulled her out.

Deputies arrived, performed CPR on her, and transported her to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Three passengers were also in her car at the time of the accident and were transported to the hospital but released the same day.

The rollover is under investigation.

Deputies say alcohol appears to be a factor and are asking for anyone who has more information on this investigation to call them at (928) 783-4427.
