Deputies searching for pickup truck driver who hit 3-year-old

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver who hit a 3-year-old with his pickup truck and fled the scene.

It happened at 4:22 p.m. today in the parking lot of a business at 2786 East 16th Street.

Deputies say the driver was bald and appeared to be in his thirties.

He was driving a white pickup truck, hauling a black trailer that carried what appeared to be a water tank.

The child was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center and is in serious condition.
