EL CENTRO, CA (KSWT News 13) - A Marine who was stabbed in the neck, at least two times, more than a week ago, remains paralyzed and in critical condition.
El Centro Police say there is no video surveillance used in the area.
They've gone door-to-door, knocking on homes of nearby residents, but no one they know of witnessed the stabbing.
Marine Cpl. Jonathan Woodard is stationed in Twentynine Palms. He was visiting El Centro with a friend the night two men attacked him.
Police say Woodard and fellow a fellow Marine were leaving the Owl Cafe at around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, when he exchanged words with two other men.
That's when the two men attacked him and stabbed him twice in the neck.
Woodard was immediately flown to a trauma center in San Diego.
Since Woodard's attack family and friends have been constantly updating his condition through Facebook.
Police do not have any leads but say both attackers are described as 5'6" and weigh about 170 pounds.
Woodard was set to go out on his second deployment on March 25th.
