Border Patrol agents bust bus passenger with meth strapped to his thighs

SALTON CITY, Calif. (KSWT News 13) - Border Patrol agents busted a bus passenger with 3.1 pounds of meth strapped to his inner thighs at the checkpoint on Highway 86 near Salton City.

It happened Monday at around 8:00 p.m.

Agents pulled a travel bus into secondary inspection at the checkpoint, questioned a 21-year-old man, and found two vacuum-sealed packages of meth strapped to his inner thighs.

The man, who has a permanent resident card allowing him to live in the U.S., was arrested and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
