Border Patrol arrests drug smugglers and man wanted for manslaughter

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) — It's been a busy three days for Border Patrol agents in Yuma.

Agents busted a man who had been convicted of manslaughter, intercepted more than $500,000 worth of pot and arrested 14 drug smugglers.

On Tuesday, agents busted two groups of drug smugglers, carrying a total of 609 pounds of marijuana.

The next day, agents arrested a man who had a fake visa and discovered he had been convicted of manslaughter. The man was a Mexican citizen and in the country illegally.

On Thursday, agents pulled over a car with 12 pounds of marijuana inside of a hidden compartment and arrested a man who was guarding a stash of 409 pounds of marijuana in Davidson Canyon.
