YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Police are looking for another man who is wanted for questioning in the murder of figueroa.
An all out man hunt is underway for Jose G. Jimenez Jr.
He is also known as "Rascal."
Jimenez is wanted for questioning in the murder of Christal Figueroa. Additionally, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office has a warrant for his arrest from an incident last month.
KSWT News 13 went through Jimenez's criminal history and has learned Jose Jimenez has been in and out of jail including prison for crimes ranging from killing innocent animals, weapons charges, burglary, and theft. Now, police and deputies are teaming up to find Jimenez.
Since 2001 Jimenez has been behind bars 14 separate times for a laundry list of charges. Most recently Jimenez was released from prison in 2011, according to his criminal record.
Currently he is wanted for questioning in the murder of 29-year old Christal Figueroa. Her body was found Friday morning dumped in the orange groves just south of Yuma. Right now, police are investigating the relationship between Jimenez and Figueroa.
Jimenez is also wanted by deputies for aggravated assault and unlawful flight. Last month he was last seen fleeing from deputies at the Camelot apartments after he got into a fight with another man, and led deputies on car chase.
Police tell me they believe Jimenez has not taken off to Mexico and remains in the area. Again he is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him do not approach him. Call 911 immediately or 78-crime to remain anonymous.
