YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Police tell KSWT News 13 they have a woman in custody in connection to the murder of Christal Figueroa, whose body was found in an orange grove on Friday.

Detectives with the Yuma Police Department arrested 24-year-old Brandi Michalski yesterday at around 4:00 p.m.

Police say Michalski and 29-year-old Figueroa were friends until recently.

Evidence found at the scene of Figueroa's murder, in the car and that Michalski's had with her led police to link her to the murder.

Detectives are still looking for three others for questioning in Figueroa's death: Jose Jimenez, also known as "Rascal;" Iovaney Alegre, who is known as "Casper;" and Daniel Torres, or "Looney."

Police say this isn't the first run-in they have had with Michalski recently.

Michalski was arrested for misconduct with weapons on March 22, after she ran out of a car that had been involved in a hit-and-run accident and began dumping and hiding weapons.

This was the same hit-and-run incident that led to Yuma High School, Roosevelt Elementary School, Mary Elizabeth Post School, and Fourth Avenue Junior High School to be put on precautionary lockdown that Friday morning.

She was released from jail, and no charges were filed.

Yuma Police Department are asking anyone with information about this murder to please call Sgt. Ron Rodriguez at (928) 373-4678, or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.

Michalski will appear in court this afternoon. KSWT News 13 will be there to cover the story, and are working to provide you with the latest updates on this case.
