BRAWLEY, CA (KSWT News 13) - Another fire burns through a Brawley structure. This time, the building wasn't abandoned.
Located on Main Street, Family Thrift Store was still up-and-running - with merchandise still inside - when it was set on fire early Tuesday morning.
Employees from surrounding businesses tell KSWT News 13 that the owner had just gotten new items; so when he found out about his shop, he was devastated.
Window and the glass door were broken - and everything inside was completely destroyed.
Neighbors also tell us that these re-occurring fires are too much of a coincidence.
"It's been two behind our office location, two next door, so all we ca do is hope they don't try and harm us, " says Bertha Diaz, an employee from the business next door, "We're on standby, we're going to install cameras in our business as well and just as a precaution on our behalf."
This is the fourth structural fire this year and the ninth since the fires first started back in October 2012.
Brawley Police say the case is still under investigation and do not want to comment on whether this case is linked to the others.
But Police are still offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information regarding the person - or people - committing arson.
