YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Two motorcycle drivers and their passengers are recovering from serious injuries after a car turned in front of them and hit them.

It happened Saturday night at the intersection of 32nd Street and Pacific Avenue.

Police say a woman was driving eastbound on 32nd Street and attempting to turn left on Pacific Avenue when she hit the motorcycles traveling in the opposite direction on 32nd Street.

The two leading motorcycle drivers and their passengers--who police say were from Las Vegas, Nevada--were thrown from their bikes.

The motorcyclists behind them were forced to lay down their bikes in the road to avoid the crash.

The woman was evaluated by firefighters and released on the scene.

Other motorcycle riders were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center, and two were flown to Phoenix.

Police do not believe alcohol was involved.

They urge anyone with information about this accident to please call them at (928) 783-4421 or at 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
