YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - The company wanting to increase Foothills residents' sewer water rate by threefold was in the hot seat today.
A hearing was held by the Arizona Corporate Commission again this morning and live streamed on the internet on the commission's website.
A local land developer criticized Far West's management, but said he believed that from a business standpoint Far West should be allowed to raise their rate.
As 13 On Your Side has previously reported, many residents are outraged with the sewer rate increase that would up Foothills residents' monthly bill up to $54.93, from the current $21.75, was a topic of concern this morning This year, meetings have been held by these same residents that drew crowds who were against the 152% increase.
You can watch the hearings via the Arizona Corporation Commission's website.
