BRAWLEY, Calif. (13 On Your Side) - An Imperial County Judge has denied a request to lower the bond for the 20-year-old man accused of setting several fires in Brawley.

In court today, Fernando Garcia's attorney argued his client does not pose a threat to the community.

He asked the judge to lower Garcia's bond, currently set at $50,000.

But prosecutors countered, saying investigators found photos of several fire scenes on Garcia's computer.

Police arrested Garcia in April following a series of seven fires.

A preliminary hearing is set for this Friday.
