UPDATE: Police arrest two in connection to attempted murder

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) – We have an update on the attempted murder of 36-year-old Reyna Torres who was shot on May 8 in Yuma.

Just before 3:00 pm today, Yuma police detectives arrested Misty Ann Martinez and Miguel Rodriguez at 1146 South 7th Avenue, in connection to the shooting.

40-year-old Martinez is being charged with hindering prosecution.

32-year-old Rodriguez is being charged with attempted murder, misconduct involving weapons, violation of parole and two outstanding arrest warrants.

According to police, the two suspects fled before officers could arrive to the scene where Torres was shot at and wounded.

Paramedics rushed her to Yuma Regional Medical Center, then airlifted her to a hospital in Phoenix.
