Posted: Updated:

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - On Wednesday, someone shot a 21-year-old man twice in the latest string of shootings.

Police say the shooting happened at around 11 p.m., near 8th Street and Avenue A.

Yuma Police Department responded to the emergency room at Yuma Regional Medical Center, where the victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they do not have a suspect at this time. This is the sixth shooting in Yuma in the last 15 days, including an attempted murder and another shooting that resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman.

A spokeswoman for the Yuma Police Department says it is too early to call the string of shootings a crime wave, but they are aware that the public is concerned.
