Two try to flee from deputies and run into Sam's Club with drugs and a gun


YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office found cocaine, marijuana and a gun inside the backpack of two men who ran into Sam's Club last night while on the run from deputies.

Yuma County Sheriff's say five men and one teenager fled from deputies and headed toward Sam's Club after the dispute. Two of the men ran into the store, while the rest of the group stayed in the truck.

Deputies found cocaine, marijuana, scales, packaging material and a 0.40 caliber gun in the backpack that the men in the store were carrying.

The driver of the truck, 20-year-old Victor Moreno, along with three passengers including 21-year-old Corbin Anderson, 21-year-old Cody Trevino and 23-year-old Obed Moreno were cited and released for possession of marijuana.

A 17-year-old who was in the truck with them was booked into Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for possession of a dangerous drug and misconduct of a weapon.

A sixth 26-year-old man was turned over to Yuma Police Department.

Deputies are looking for anyone who witnessed the dispute between the group of six men in the truck and another vehicle to please call them. It happened last night at around 6:00 pm at 4500 East Levee Road.
