MCAS Yuma helicopter rescues hiker

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - A helicopter crew from the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma rescued a stranded hiker on Saturday afternoon.

The 22-year-old went hiking with six others and was able to climb up a rock structure in the Castle Dome Mountains, but then could not get back down.

A Marine rappelled down to the hiker.

The chopper then flew them down to a safe area where the hiker was treated for heat exhaustion.
