Police looking for two men after fight at the river leaves 5 wounded

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Deputies are still looking for two men in their mid-twenties who they say may have been involved in a fight at a popular river hangout that left five wounded.

It happened Sunday evening near the 4500 block of the Levee Road. By the time deputies arrived out to the area the suspects had gotten away.

Four of the five people wounded were treated for minor injuries.

One other was rushed to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening stab wounds.

Deputies tell 13 On Your Side they have no leads as of today.

Yet they continue to ask anyone with information to call them or to report a tip anonymously by calling 78-CRIME.

As for the river area where the fight broke out, deputies say they would like to increase patrol but they are understaffed.

Officer Zavala, a public information officer with YCSO, says they are doing their best to patrol their area and keep people safe.
