SAN LUIS, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers busted a man for trying to smuggle nearly 31 pounds of cocaine through the San Luis Port of Entry.

Officers found 12 packages of cocaine beneath the cowl of 29-year-old Roberto Villareal-Suarez's windshield on Monday, during an inspection at the port.

The cocaine is worth more than $278,000.

Villareal-Suarez was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

CBP officials say Villareal-Suarez is a U.S. citizen, but his hometown wasn't immediately available.
