Deputies arrest 3 in connection to river brawl

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Three people have been arrested in connection to a brawl that broke out at the river more than two weeks ago, including a victim who was rushed to the hospital.

A special response team from Yuma County Sheriff's Office and the Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested 21-year-old Benjamin Castro this morning at a home in the 900 block of West Solana Drive in Yuma.

Castro was stabbed during the fight, but now faces attempted second degree murder and aggravated assault charges.

Deputies also arrested 24-year-old Sergio Castro and 21-year-old Iris Silva for hindering prosecution.

Deputies say the fight broke out on June 9 at the confluence near Avenue 4 and ½ E and the Levee Road.

Four other people were hurt in the brawl.
