Man remains in critical condition after crash



SOMERTON, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - A passenger, who was inside of a car that crashed into an APS steel pole a couple of weeks ago, remains in critical condition.

Deputies have identified the passenger as 19-year-old Manuel Molina-Fibres of San Luis, Arizona.

He was flown to a Phoenix-area hospital.

Deputies say he is being treated at a Phoenix burn center.

The driver, 20-year-old Francisco Garcia, died at the scene.

The crash happened June 21st on Avenue G, near County 14th Street in Somerton.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. Deputies say alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision.
