YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) – The Yuma Jaycees are calling on the community of Yuma to help collect items to send to victims and those affected by the Yarnell wildfire.

They tell 13 On Your Side they are collecting items like toiletries, clothing and non-perishable food items for those who have lost their homes, belongings, or have been evacuated because of the fire.

13 On Your Side spoke to Gwynn Roach of the Yuma Jaycees.

She says they want to step up to help those in need, because it just as easily could have happened to our own community.

"You know, it could have happened in our community, no different than anywhere else. So it's a good feeling to be able to go out and help someone else," Roach said.
