More than $1.2 million intercepted at the San Luis Port of Entry

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) – Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Luis Port of Entry intercepted more than $1.2 million in meth.

A local woman, a California man and a Phoenix man were arrested in separate incidents for attempting to smuggle methamphetamine into the United States.

Jesse James Lopez, a 20-year-old from Phoenix was busted with 10 packages of meth in his Jeep SUV.

27-year-old Carolina Garibay was busted with packages of methamphetamine in car's rocker panels and bumper.

CBP officers also busted Hector Salcido, 53, with meth packages in his car's gas tank.

The drugs and vehicles were seized. Lopez, Garibay, and Salcido were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
