Woman arrested for resisting arrest and ramming into CHP vehicle

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) – A woman is facing multiple charges for resisting arrest and crashing into a California Highway Patrol vehicle.

Today, 32-year-old Halima Ahmed is behind bars on $100,000 bond.

Yuma police were called to assist California Highway Patrol just before 6:00 am on Monday, after Ahmed refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

When Ahmed finally pulled over, police say she used her car to ram into a marked California Highway Patrol vehicle. 

She continued to be uncooperative with police and resisted arrest.

Ahmed now faces multiple charges including: resisting arrest, obstruction, aggravated assault, criminal damage and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
