Former City of Yuma employee facing theft charges for keeping City money

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Yuma police need your help finding more information on a former City of Yuma employee who is facing criminal charges for theft.

Investigators say she was keeping City money for herself.

 

Erica Cibrian, a former administrative assistant at the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department, is being charged with one felony county of theft.
Police say the 34-year-old kept money she was supposed to deposit to local golf courses for herself.
They now estimate the total loss to be $8,300.
Police believe no other suspects were involved.
The Yuma Police Department urge anyone with information about this case to call Detective Ernie Rangel at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime to report a tip anonymously.
