CALEXICO - After being busted by Customs and Border Protection officers at the port of entry, a woman admits she was being paid to smuggle meth into the United States from Mexico.

CBP Officers at the Calexico East Port of Entry found packages of methamphetamine worth $231,000 in Neyba de Let Vazquez-Flores' car.

They say the drugs were stashed in her Ford Expedition's transfer case in the transmission.

Vazquez-Flores was taken into custody of Homeland Security Investigation agents and transported to Imperial County Jail.

She faces a felony charge of importation of a controlled substance.

Vazquez-Flores said she was going to be paid $2,000 to smuggle it into the United States, according to the court complaint.
