Deputies to hold sex offender public information meetings

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office will host two meetings in October to inform the public on sex offenders living in Yuma County. 

The first meeting will be held on October 1, 2013, at the Foothills Library, which is located at 13226 S. Frontage Road. It will begin at 6:00 pm and is expected to last an hour.

The second meeting will be held on October 7, 2013, at the Yuma County Sheriff's Office located at 141 S. 3rd Avenue.  It will begin at 5:30 pm and is also set to last an hour.

You are invited to attend the meetings, where you will have a chance to ask law enforcement officers questions regarding sex offenders.

Deputies hope to provide the public with a better understanding of the laws in the State of Arizona that apply to sex offenders in Yuma County.
