Imperial County District Attorney charges high school football coach with child molestation

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (13 On Your Side) - A high school football coach is facing multiple child molestation charges.
Imperial County District Attorney Gilbert G. Otero announced today that his office has filed a complaint against 38-year-old Joe Conner, a football coach at Southwest High School in El Centro, California.
For now, he is not behind bars.
The District Attorney's Office says the abuse happened over several years.
One of the victims, whose name is not being released, said Conner started abusing her when she was in seventh grade.
She said the abuse continued through high school.
A second victim said Conner began abusing her when she was around 11 or 12 years old and also continued through high school.
The District Attorney's Office says Conner will be arrained in a Brawley court at 1:30 pm on October 23.
The District Attorney's Office will ask that he be held on $100,000 bail.
