Yuma Border Patrol agents arrest nine, and seize gun, ammunition, cash, drugs

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side)  It was a busy day for Yuma Border Patrol agents yesterday.

Agents working in the Yuma sector tell 13 On Your Side they stopped a car in Gadsden, Ariz., yesterday, where an armed man was trying to smuggle three undocumented immigrants.

Agents say they stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe and found three undocumented immigrants hiding in the cargo area.

When agents searched the SUV, they also found a .40-caliber Glock pistol and a magazine  in the center console. 

Agents arrested all of the people in the car and seized the firearm and magazine.

The same day, agents working near Blythe, Calif., busted a driver with more than $14,000 in cash, small amounts of oxycodone and hash, and drug paraphernalia.

And in a third incident, agents in Wellton arrested two people for attempting to transport mrore than $60,000 worth of methamphetamine through the checkpoint on Interstate 8.
