Calexico Border Patrol Arrests “MS-13” Gang Member

Posted:

CALEXICO, Calif. (13 On Your Side) U.S. Border Patrol agents in Calexico arrested a dangerous Mara Salvatrucha gang member trying to enter the country illegally.

Agents spotted 31-year-old Jose Perez-Santos, a Salvadoran national, as he tried entering the United States illegally from Mexico at around 10:45 p.m.

They arrested Perez about three miles away from the downtown Calexico Port of Entry.

Agents then took Perez to the Calexico Border Patrol station, where they learned he was an active member of the "MS-13" criminal gang out of El Salvador.

Plus, Perez was previously deported by an Immigration Judge in May 2010.

Perez is in Border Patrol custody pending prosecution charges.
