Yuma Community Food Bank accepting citrus donations

Posted:

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Do you have a citrus tree starting to fill up with fruit?

Before you toss out any fruit you don't want, food banks throughout the state of Arizona, including the Yuma Community Food Bank, can take them off your hands to help feed those less fortunate.

The Yuma Community Food Bank is now accepting donations.

So pluck your personal trees and drop off any citrus fruits you may have at the Yuma Community Food Bank, located at 2404 East 24th Street (just east of the Pacific Avenue and 24th Street intersection).

Your donations will help feed the needy with healthy, fresh food.

Already, the food bank has received about 400 pounds of food in just the first day of collection.
