Police looking for suspect who hit teen with baseball bat

YUMA, Ariz. (13 On Your Side) - Yuma police are looking for a suspect who they say struck a teen with a baseball bat last night.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is being treated at a Phoenix hospital.

The attack happened at around 7:30 pm behind Albertson's grocery store located at 2378 West 24th Street.

According to Yuma Police Department officials, an unknown suspect approached two teenagers and asked them where they were from. 

Before they could respond, the suspect swung a baseball bat at one of the teens, striking him in the head. The suspect immediately fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to Yuma Regional Medical Center and later flown to a Phoenix hospital.

Police need your help locating this suspect. Right now, the only description we have is that the suspect is described as being about 5'10", weighing approximately 135 pounds.

He is believed to be about 20 years old and was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie and tan pants.
