Government of Canada invests in the advancement of sport participation and healthy living

GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - BalĀ Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), today announced funding of up to $614,000 to Canadian Sport For Life (CS4L) for the advancement of sport participation and healthy living on the occasion of the CS4L National Summit. The Summit is being held in Gatineau on January 29 and 30, 2014.

The Government of Canada has played a leadership role in providing continued funding and direction for quality sport programs in Canada, across all levels of the sport community and in all jurisdictions.

  • Canadian Sport for Life is a movement to improve the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. CS4L links sport, education, recreation, and health; it also aligns community, provincial, and national programming.
