ELLICOTT CITY, Md., Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RxTrials, a leading Investigative Site Network (ISN), has become the first US site management network to expand its operations into Latin America, filling an important industry need in one of the most rapidly expanding clinical research regions in the world.

In January, RxTrials signed an agreement with Centro de Investigaciones Metabolicas (CINME) in Buenos Aires to join the RxTrials Partner Site Network.  CINME was founded in 2007 and focuses on diabetes and pulmonary research.

"CINME is a very important addition to the RxTrials Partner Site Network, given how the clinical research industry is evolving globally, and given demand for more diabetes and pulmonary capacity," says Adam Chasse, RxTrials' Chief Operating Officer.  "This partnership aligns with RxTrials' strategy to aggressively expand our therapeutic and geographic reach to fulfill the requests we are receiving from sponsors and CROs.  The industry needs sites that have the highest regard for human subject protection while meeting study timelines, all underpinned with a commitment to quality – which RxTrials has been known for over its twenty year history. CINME is a natural fit with RxTrials and the rest of its Partner Sites – together we provide a very compelling solution for sponsors and CROs, who are increasingly relying on networks to complete their studies."

Adds Dr. Federico Perez Manghi, MD, CINME's medical director and Principal Investigator, "We are excited to align with RxTrials to bring more studies to our patients, because diabetes and respiratory illnesses are so prevalent among Argentinians.  The volume of clinical research studies in Argentina is growing, and CINME and RxTrials will help the industry ensure high quality and timely completion of these studies."
