TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -
Looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day? A couple of Tampa McDonald's restaurants will be hosting Valentine's Day dinners, complete with tableside service and flowers. The McDonald's restaurants on Busch Blvd. by Busch Gardens and on Dale Mabry at Minnehaha Street are now taking reservations for a special Valentine's dinner. Food will be served from the regular McDonald's menu. But, instead of waiting in line, guests will be seated at tables where they will order from a server. "They will be pampered as if they were in a fine dining restaurant," said Bob Conigliaro, who is Vice President of Community Relations at Caspers Company, which owns local McDonald's restaurants. Tables will be covered in tablecloths and employees will forego their McDonald's uniforms and instead will wear shirts, ties and a special apron. "It's going to be a fun, cute kind of thing," said Conigliaro who added that the idea came from a manager who works at one of the company's 53 stores in Tampa Bay.
