SEATTLE (CBS NEWS) -- At least four people were shot Thursday afternoon at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle and police had one suspect in custody, CBS affiliate KIRO reported.

The shooting happened about 3:30 p.m. in Otto Miller Hall. The campus was on lockdown and traffic around the school was blocked.

"Campus is in lockdown due to shooting near Otto Miller Hall. Classes are suspended. Please do not come to campus,"
the university posted on its website.

Police initially said there was a second suspect in custody, but later said there was only one person under arrest.
SWAT officers were clearing buildings. It was not clear whether police were looking for another possible suspect or more possible victims.

Paramedics transported four victims to Harborview Medical Center. Police said one man and one woman had life-threatening injuries. Two others, a man and a woman, were in stable condition.

Seattle Pacific is located about 10 minutes from downtown Seattle. About 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend the Christian university.

Otto Miller Hall houses the school's math, computer science, engineering, physics and science education departments.
