Nashville, Tenn., United States – June 23, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ –

One of the reasons that Food4Patriots has been able to sell more than 13 million meals since launching last summer is the wide variety of food available in the company’s 72-hour, four-week and three-month emergency food kits with a 25-year shelf life.

And now that variety has expanded. Food4Patriots officials announced today that it sold 225 kits of its new Fruit/Veggie/Dessert kit in the 30 days since it began offering the kit to Food4Patriots buyers. This add-on of nutritious fruits and vegetables has proven a popular choice for those who wish to ensure having healthy food in a crisis.

“Taste is obviously very important when you’re selling a food product, but variety and nutrition are also crucial,” said Allen Baler, partner at Food4Patriots. “Once a crisis hits, there’s no way to know how long it will last, and so all three of those components will be essential for people who are dependent upon their emergency food supply.”

All of the food in Food4Patriots emergency kits can be prepared in less than 20 minutes and requires nothing more than boiling water. It is kept in easy-to-store Mylar pouches, which keep out air, moisture and light.

A typical 72-hour kit (16 servings) would include:
