La Mesa Street Murders Suspect in Court


Yuma, AZ January 29 -- Preston Strong is accused of killing a local doctor and is the chief suspect in the La Mesa Street murders. 

Thursday he stood before Superior Court Judge Mark Reeves for a comprehensive management conference. The management conferences are held by the judge to make sure all parties to the case are talking to each other and the legal process keeps moving forward as productively and speedily as possible.

Strong was indicted for the murder of Doctor Satinder Gill in November of 2007.

The next step for Strong will be a final management conference before going to trial.

So far, Strong has not been charged in the La Mesa murders. He is only a suspect.  Investigators are waiting on SNA to be processed.  A family of five was kiled on jJne 24th, 2005. It happened on La Mesa Street in Yuma.
